Patrick McGuire concentrates his practice in the areas of trust and estate planning, estate administration, and business law. Patrick partners with his clients in drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, gift planning, business succession planning and other ancillary estate planning documents as well as probating and administering estates in the Surrogate’s Court. Patrick’s trust and estate practice also includes the preparation of health care proxies, living wills, providing guidance to clients on charitable giving, Medicaid planning, and insurance planning designed to smoothly and effectively pass wealth from one generation to the next. In each case, Patrick’s goal is to provide his clients peace of mind, by ensuring a unique plan is set in place and carried into action.
Patrick is also experienced in representing businesses of every size, from local sole proprietors, and not-for-profits, to international corporations helping his clients accomplish their goals. His skill-sets encompass a wide range of business needs, including formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, as well as contract disputes, business litigation, and foreclosure and collection matters.
Prior to joining Rupp Baase, Patrick practiced law at a New York City litigation firm, and previously worked for LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP. Patrick is Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated.
