Kellan Potts is an associate attorney in our Capital Region office, and a member of our environmental litigation, insurance defense litigation, and business law and litigation team. His areas of focus include litigation involving contractual rights, real property transactions, easement rights, conservation rights, constitutional property rights, torts, and commercial sales and purchases. Before joining Rupp Baase, Kellan worked extensively on a Clean Water Act enforcement project for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
Kellan graduated cum laude from Albany Law School where he was an active member in the moot court program. During law school he interned with the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Justice in Washington D.C., the Federal Defenders of Eastern Tennessee, the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, the Schenectady County Public Defender’s Office, the United States Sentencing Commission, and the Department of Environmental Conservation.
Prior to law school, Kellan moved from Tennessee to New York to attend Binghamton University.
