Arthur Bailey has practiced cutting-edge litigation in Western New York for five decades, while becoming nationally prominent in the specific field of civil antitrust price-fixing federal class actions which has replaced his original focus in areas of products liability, medical negligence and personal injury actions where he won the first million dollar result in Chautauqua County history.  In recent years, he has been in the lead counsel organization of approximately 50% of all the “price fixing” class actions filed in the entire United States.

He has been a nationally recognized member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (“ATLA”) (now AAJ) and has been the National Chair of the Class Action section of ATLA, as well as being the editor of its Business Torts/Class Action section newsletter.

Additionally, Arthur has been extremely active in professional lecturing, having been an invited annual law lecturer before forty-two (42) different state Bar Associations and/or Trial Lawyers Organizations throughout the United States, as well as similar lecturing appearances before the Ontario Law Society, and the annual conventions held in Mexico, Bermuda, France, Switzerland, England, Germany, Australia, the Dutch West Indies and the Bahama Islands, lecturing on newly developing litigation techniques including demonstrative evidence, §402(a) strict liability and complex civil antitrust cases, as well as 10(b)(5) securities litigation.

Arthur was a Co-Founder and member of the Faculty of the National College of Advocacy (held at Hastings Law, San Francisco) and Harvard University (held in Cambridge, Massachusetts).  He was Founder of the Robert H. Jackson, Inn of Court at the Jackson Center in Jamestown while serving as the President of the Jamestown Bar Association, when he also was Founder (and first Director) of “The People’s Law School” where active members of the Bar lecture to lay-citizens about all the areas where “law touches-the-citizen.”
